Nordictrack A2750 Pro vs. Proform Performance 600

It seems like we end up with Nordictrack vs Proform duos alot. If you wonder why, it’s because these two companies are similar enough that a lot of people end up narrowing down their choice to these two companies. So these comparisons will hopefully help them. Nordictrack A2750 Pro and the Proform Performance 600.

I can tell this one is going to be quick and easy. Both treadmills are $7,99 and since both treadmills are designed so similarly, and use so many of the same materials it’s mostly just a matter of which offers more.

Starting with the motor, the Nordictrack A2750 has a 2.75 CHP motor which operates excellently and has a lifetime warranty on it. The 2.75 Motor should uphold moderately light runners without much problems. Once runners get past the 275 – 300 lb range they’ll probably want to upgrade to a bigger motor, but other than that this motor should work without any troubles. The motor in the Proform is a 2.5 CHP motor which is a bit smaller, and pushing the boundary of too small for practical use. The motor is self cooling which helps keep it from burning out, but it doesn’t have quite the strength of the Nordictrack and so it doesn’t have the capacity to handle as big of runners.

The decks are the same story, Nordictrack has more strength in their machine and in their deck to handle heavier runners than Proform. The Nordictrack A2750 Pro has a weight capacity of 350lbs compared to the Proform’s 325lb weight capacity. The treadbelt on the Nordictrack is the full length at 20″ x 60″, while the Proform is only 20″ x 55″. I’m not sure if Proform checked out what was out there before putting this machine out. Although the Proform Performance 600 is better than most other treadmills at this price, it doesn’t measure up to the Nordic track.

Other than those things, the consoles and the rest of their specs are about the same.

Well, the Proform tried hard, but the Nordictrack shows it up in pretty much every aspect, so I think that gives the Nordictrack A2750 an easy win for this round. Good Job Nordictrack.
